Hurricane Half (2008) 2:02:25 Short-Term Running Goals: I have a half coming up in august in Provo that I talked my wife into trying, and I just started training again for the St George marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Of course I would some day love to qualify for Boston. Personal: When I started running, which was back in Feb. of 2007, I weighed 110 lbs. more than I do now. Although I do not run as fast as I would like, I feel like as long as I continue to progress, I can make it to my goals. I have found that running has been essential to keeping the weight off for me. | | Today has felt the best so far this week. I was able to get back up to the speed I was running before the half marathon. By the time my hour was up on the treadmill, my foot ( PF) hurt a little, but nothing like it was two weeks ago. | Comments(1) |
| | Although this may look like a race, it is acctually just a regular run. I didn't have a particular distance in mind when I set out from my house this morning, and I ended up running all over St George by the time I was done. I guess you could say it was my impersonation of a "Forrest Gump" morning. Anyway, when I got about 1 1/2 blocks away from my wife's work I had hit 13.1 miles, so I thought I would just walk the last little bit. It felt good to get out and run a longer distance, and although my legs are tired and sore, it is a good tired. :) | Comments(2) |

| | While visiting family in North Salt Lake, I decided it would be a good idea to go for an outside run. What a silly fool I was!!! I was running with my sister-in-law today, so she couldn't go very far, which was fine with me because it was bitterly cold.
