Short-Term Running Goals:

I have a half coming up in august in Provo that I talked my wife into trying, and I just started training again for the St George marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Of course I would some day love to qualify for Boston.

Personal:

When I started running, which was back in Feb. of 2007, I weighed 110 lbs. more than I do now.  Although I do not run as fast as I would like, I feel like as long as I continue to progress, I can make it to my goals. I have found that running has been essential to keeping the weight off for me.  When I start to take it easy after a race is over, that is when the pounds can creep back on!

Today was the first run since I was on vacation, and the first one of any real distance in ALMOST 2 WEEKS, and boy do my legs feel it!  It was pretty windy this morning, which wasn't helping things at all, but I know that that cannot be the only reason for my slowness today.  I am glad that I was able to put in some distance today, and now I just hope that I can finish the week close to my goal of 30 miles.  We will see...

Run today was at the gym.  It still felt a little hard/slow today.  It makes me wonder how much "damage" the last two weeks have done?  How long will it take for me to feel like I did before my vacation?

I slacked off all morning before work, so 5 miles is all I could get in.
